Hi

I am using HTC HD2 running windows mobile 6.5
I used a filter to "mark as read and move to folder" for a specific folder (onto my Storage card/folder) without any notifications.

It worked great. No notifications.
I could see the messages in magicall log viewer.
Then i deleted the messages in call log viewer.
Everything looked fine.
I even checked that folder for any messages in file explorer..and it was empty. (Though it was empty even when I had not deleted the messages from log viewer)
Now the problem is when I used a 3rd party backup program to backup my messages, i suddenly saw that all these deleted messages were still present and could be backed up.
These messages are not seen in either the traditional or conversation mode in windows messaging, nor are they present in the delted messages folder, nor in the folder where i had asked them to be moved in my filter settings.
Then where are these message stored and how do i delete them.
Thanks in advance

Those messages were not moved to file system folders. They were moved to folders of the message store. You may find those folders after disabling threaded message.

Hi

Thanks for the reply

I first tried disabling the thread using registry -
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM]
"SMSInboxThreadingDisabled"=DWORD:1

Nothing different happened after restarting.

Then as u had mentioned in another thread, maybe it was the htc messaging application

So i downloaded a cab available in a forum to remove the htc messaging and reinstate the original windows messsaging.
Well after that i used the registry tweak above

I had the hreaded thing disabled...but couldnt see the folders.

Dont know how to delete.

Any other way...or maybe this way only, but i dont know where i was making mistake

Thanks in advance

Are you using the legacy message app now? If so, you can browse folders by clicking the top-left corner where shows the current folder.

I dont know about legacy app
I am using HTC HD2 - original ROM updated with Original Update using Windows Mobile 6.5

When I try a sms backing software I can still backup all these messages that Magicall has supposedly marked as read and moved.........even after i have deleted them from my Magicall log
Now i am unable to see these messages anywhere on my phone and delete them permanently
Where are they stored / How to delete them permanently

Moved messages are still stored on your device's IMAP Message Store. They are just in folders other than Inbox.

I think "Delete" is a choice for you. You may access deleted messages from MagiCall Log Viewer.
