I have a rule to send sms of missed call numbers from one phone to my other phone.

Rule is:

Action 2: Send SMS
To: +123456789
Message: Missed call from {Phone}

My issue:  I only want the number but Magicall sends the phone and conatct name.

For example, if I get a missed call from the contact John with Company field JCP and mobile number +123456789 then

... the sms I receive will read on my second phone:

Missed call from John (+123456789)

... the notification on my first mobile shows:

Missed call from John (JCP) +123456789

... but when I check the Log Viewer it has

Missed call from +123456789

I have checked with several contacts and I have the same problem.

I am not sure why the conflict.  What I want to show up with {phone} on the SMS and Notification is what is in the Log Viewer - that is just the number (not the contact name or the company field).

Thanks.

Do you use MagiCall 2.3 on the phone for receiving SMS? If so, I think the option "Replace numbers with contacts' name" is enabled, so it adds contacts name to SMS.

1) I am using 2.3.2 (Pocket PC).

2) In my "Replace numbers in SMS"  this is set to: None

I performed the test with a regular Nokia phone and couldn't reproduce it. The text recorded in Log Viewer was what was sent. I think maybe you enabled "Replace numbers in SMS" on the destination device of receiving SMS. I mean the phone for receiving SMS, not the phone for sending SMS.

My receiving phone has "Replace numbers in SMS"  set to: None

Maybe there is a conflict with one of my other programs (for example, I use Inesoft for my default contact address book rather than the windows contact addy).

Anyway, thanks for trying to help resolve issue.
