Hi all.
I'm trying MagiCall and it is a really impressive tool.
Not only extensively configurable but also the one properly working among many I've tried.

I'm only experiencing a couple of issues on my HTC Touch PRO; I guess these could be already presented but my searches in the forum didn't find.

My idea is to  make phone ring (for both call and sms) only for specific numbers, and doing nothing for the others.
So I created 4 rules:

1-ok call: filters calls from a specific outlook category, doing "system default" and "do nothing" as action 1 and 2
2-ok sms: same as above, but filtering sms
in order to make the phone act normally for the numbers I put in the outlook category

3-all call: filters all incoming call, doing "ignore" and "do nothing" as acton
4-all sms: filters all incoming sms, marking as read and moving to a folder ad action
in order to make the phone doing nothing for all the other calls/sms and also keeping these sms separated form the others

This combination of rules perfectly fits to my needs, except for some strange behaviors:
- receiving calls I want to ignore, the phone anyway begins to blink the hardware answer key; when the caller stops calling, the system sound gets incresed
- I'm not able to see filtered sms int he designed folder (think it's me, but: is there a specific rule or syntax to follow about this?)

Let me say we are near to perfection, at least for my needs.

PS: please excuse my english

Hello eresac,

I tested on my Touch Pro and experienced the Answer Key blinking issue. Currently we have no solution yet.
The sound increasing problem was not replicated in my test.
The SMS problem was not replicated, I could find filtered SMS in the desired folder.

Thanks for the quick answer!

About the system sound increasing issue, I made some more tests:
(from the calling phone) letting the call stop ringing by itself does not reproduce the issue; hanging up the call while ringing makes the sound increase.
I've tried changing my sound settings (system sound at 20% and volume sound at 60%) without any effect.
I've also noticed that receiving a call to ignore, if in stand by mode (screen off), the phone wakes up (screen on) making the already mentioned "answer key blinking".

About the folder (I'm sure it's me): could you provide me an example of the string inserted in "to folder" field? (if works I will use your folder name  Wink )

I'm running the original italian HTC ROM on the Touch PRO.

I just tested again according to your description but cannot reproduce the sound increasing issue. What version of MagiCall are you using?
Only some debug versions of v2.2.3 affecting the call volume, other versions do not affect the call volume. You may download and try the latest v2.2.4.

Yes, the "answer key blinking" problem exists here too. There is no good solution currently. I will try to resolve it in the future.

Any characters can be used to make a folder name except '/' and '\'.  A simple folder name for you: Test  Smiley
Do you see a blank folder, or even the folder is not created?
