I just moved from a Treo 700p to a Treo Pro. I used CallCards by ShSh for this function on my 700p but Shimon has not and won't port it to WM. I really need to be able to replicate that. I hope Magicall can do that for me.

Can I create a calling card rule based on the number of digits dialed? Would that be a regex function? I have all of work colleagues' phone numbers stored as their 5-digit desk extension. When I call a 5 digit number, CallCards intercepts it, dials a certain script (my employer's main work number, plus a pause) then follows with the 5 digit extension.

I have other scripts that recognize the area code and prefix, then dial the last 5 digits. E.g., if dialing 352-733-0111, intercept, dial 352-265-0111, pause, then the last 5 digits, ie, 30111.

For usability enhancements of Magicall, I suggest you look at CallCards. It's a bit more menu driven, make it user friendly for folks who aren't savvy enough to use regex.

Wow. Spent some time playing with this. It's truly powerful and fits my immediate need. Unfortunately for those less technically inclined, it's hard to use.

We knew that. That's why this forum was founded.  Smiley

Thank you.
