Is it possible to use Magicall to receive an SMS and then have it power off the phone?

You can use this tool to reboot your phone. Read this http://www.mobiion.com/forum/index.php/topic,355.0.html

Hope it helps.

Thanks for your reply. Actually, I had already tried your reboot.exe program and it works fine. However, what I really want to do is just to power off the phone, not reboot it. Is there a windows command that I can run from the command line to accomplish this?

I have no idea how to power off phones through APIs or commands.

Is there a way to reformat the SD card before rebooting the handset? Does WinMo support scripts? Security may dictate a need to remove all that data, since the new 'owner' could possibly have access to private data.

I don't know.

However you may set a password to your device, and encrypt your SD card (WinMo has built-in SD card encryption feature). Other people cannot read your SD card on other devices.

However you may ... encrypt your SD card ...

That seems sufficient. Thanks.
