Hi,

After I installed the HookMgr CAB file to my Palm Treo 800w (WM6.1), I cannot see it under the list of programs.
The SKTOOLS View program reports that it's installed under \Windows.  I went in there but couldn't see it either.

Did I miss anything?

Thanks,
steve

It is installed to Windows folder.

Do you mean the list of "Remove Program"? You should see HookMgr in the list so that it can be removed when necessary.

Thanks for the response.

SKTools lists the HookMgr under Installed Programs as "Mobiion HookMgr" under Windows, but I can not see it in the list of programs reported by WM.  Seems that WM reports only programs under \Windows\Program Files.  MagiKB Lite is under  \Windows\Program Files so I can invoke it.  How do I invoke a program installed in \Windows such as "Mobiion HookMgr"?  Using Resco File Explorer I found a "Mobiion HookMgr" folder under \Windows\AppMgr and there is a file C093.tmp and STP4001.DLL in this folder but there is no executable.  So where is the executable of HookMgr and why it doesn't show up in the list of programs along with MagiKB Lite?

I must be missing something.

Thanks,
steve

HookMgr runs as a system module. You don't need to invoke it manually. It doesn't have any user interface. Thanks.

Thank you for your response.
Pardon my ignorance.  What is the functionality of HookMgr?  Why would I need it? What happen if I uninstall it?

Thanks,
steve

Windows CE (the base system of Windows Mobile) allows only one Keyboard hook program running at a time. HookMgr works as a hook proxy so that you can run multiple hook programs on WinCE at a time.
