Gday..

am hoping to get some answers and direction on issues im having with this great software.

Have just installed trial version of Magicall for Pocket PC (is this the right version for my phone? whats the diff between a smartphone and a pocket pc?). Am using an iPAQ hw6965 running Mobile 5.1.

It installed fine. I didnt bother about the database converter as this is the 1st time ive used magicall.

what i want to do: receive sms from 1 particular number and forward it to 5 other unique numbers.

I set up a rule like this:

rule type: SMS
Filter Type: Specific Number
Phone #: 0123456789 (as selected by adding from outlook contacts - i deleted the name after the number).
SMS filter:
Enabled: Always
action 1: system default
action 2: send SMS
to: 987654321; 654789321; 321654987 (deleted the names after the numbers after selecting from outlook contacts).
Message: {message} test

i left the rest at default, ticked and flicked all the rest of the boxes.

That didnt work. Tried a simpler rule to move an SMS from inbox to a folder, that didnt work either.

I checked front screen, it says its running, the rule has an envelope icon, shows [number] 123456798, default, Send SMS

Am i doing something wrong? Im figuring it shouldnt be this hard. Look forward to any assistance. Cheers  Smiley

ok.. have sent to one number and moved to a folder, but the send message doesnt get registered in my 'sent' folder as a normal sms would. So i wouldnt know if i sent anything at all.

Is this normal operation?

Pocket PC version is right for you. Smartphone version is for devices without a touchscreen.

By default, sent messages are deleted. There is an option "Keep copies in the Send Folder" in MagiCall. You may change it to "Both" or "SMS". So that further SMS sent by MagiCall will be in the sent folder.
