Could someone help me.?.

All I am looking for is a program that will allow me to prepend a phone number that is either stored in my contacts, a missed call, or a previously dialed call. I used to have a A900m and my wife has a Razr (both with Sprint). Both of these phones had an option to prepend. I regularly use *67, *87 and 11 (to go directly to voicemail if the other person is a Sprint customer) often or I used to until upgrading to my new "Smart" phone (HTC Touch). My old "Dumb" phones had this option and I can not find a way to do this except for manually reentering the phone number. I can not remember a phone number anymore since I always use the contacts and speed dial numbers to dial people.

Please let me know if Magicall will allow me to do what I miss from my old phones. If this program will not does anyone have an idea of a program that does.

Thanks for the help.

Hello Alkhal,

Thanks for getting back with me! What I miss about my old phone is that it had a feature that allowed you to prepend a phone number in either your contact list / missed calls list / recent dialed calls list. What you did was select the number that you wanted to call (from any of the above lists) and then on my old phone you selected options (a soft key) and in that options menu was prepend. This allowed you to insert numbers to dial in front of the number you had selected. So say I wanted to block my caller id on this particular call I could just enter *67. If I wanted to call someone and just leave a message then I could select prepend and put 11 (this only works with sprint to sprint calls) and instead of ringing the other persons cell phone it would go directly to voice mail. My HTC Touch does not have this option available. I use the *67 and 11 all the time for calling work or just to leave a quick message with someone so I really miss having this feature. So prepend is just a way of inserting numbers (say *67) in front of a phone number that you're about to call. Just wondering if this program will allow me to do this. This is a per phone call need and not something that I need to do for every number or all the time. Just when I need to do it.

Hope that all makes sense. Let me know what you think.

Thanks again,

-Tony

I believe you can set MagiCall to filter your outgoing calls similar to this. If you set up a rule for your contacts or numbers you chose you can place *67 then hit the menu choose insert and put {mobile} or {phone} depending on what it is of course.. Then create another rule to do the sprint one *11 or whatever it is. Try it also make sure after you set the rules you "Exit" MagiCall then start it up again for the changes to take effect. After you try it let us know the results..  Cool

Thank you for your answer, Alkhal.

I have one question for you, Alkhal. Do you use v2.0.0.173? Because you said you had a problem, and you had to exit and reload MagiCall after modified or added a rule. But I cannot replicate the problem on my device.

Alkhal,

Thanks for the input. I will give it a try. I did recently find a program that will do what I am looking for but I will try this out also. The other programs I found in case anyone else is interested is....

My IDD dialer WM6 Pro V1 - http://freewareppc.com/communication/myidddialer.shtml
My Prefix Dial - http://freewareppc.com/communication/myprefixdial.shtml
Phone Helper - http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-phonehelper-v1-0.html

Maybe this can help someone else out.
