Many times now, I've noticed that if I have a data connection (not sure if active or inactive at the moment it's lost) however once I receive a call that's blocked (not sure if all modes however hangup, pickup & drop are all I use) that shortly after if I try to access the internet it seems to be locked up (still seemingly connected however the data arrows don't activate and the web page will never load, it just says locating).  If I then try to disconnect the data connection manually so that I can restart it, it just clocks.  I have to reboot and then all is well again.  I have a ppc6700 with wm5.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

I didn't replicate this problem. I tried GPRS connection testing with Hang up, Pickup and drop, Ignore.

When I tested Hang up and Pickup&drop, the connection recovered right after the call had been dropped.
When I test Ignore, the connection was unusable when ignoring, but it recovered when the caller had hung it up.

I tested it on my Samsung i780 with WM6. I will test it on more devices and let you know the result.

sprint cdma... maybe that might be helpful

also it happens many times, not all the time, but many times so it's intermittent

I too am also having the same issue.  It doesn't happen all the time, but enough to be annoying.  I'm only using the hangup action of MagiCall.  I never have an issue until after it hangs up on a caller, then sometimes I cannot reconnect the data session.  If I soft-reset, then I'm good to go for a while.  I'm running Windows Mobile 6.1 on an HTC Titan (Verizon XV6800).

After a soft-reset, sometimes it'll hangup 20 calls before having a problem, sometimes it'll hangup 1 and then create problems.  Just strange.

Well I've gotten a little bit of a work around, still a PITA though.  If I turn off just the phone, and back on, I'm good to go.  Better than going thru a full soft-reset.  Still waiting on some kind of support on it so I can decide if I want to buy this software, or just finish off the 10 day trial and look for something else.

Only problem with that, I still have yet to see an app that is as feature-packed as MagiCall. Smiley

After testing and reviewing Microsoft documents. I am thinking if this problem is because of CDMA radio driver implementation.
According to Microsoft documents, when the radio detects an incoming call, Connection Manager asks radio driver to disconnect or suspend (if suspend is supported) active data connections. After the call is over, radio driver should resume suspended connections.

MagiCall does not do anything to affect data connections. These are all be done by the system and radio driver. I am worrying this problem will still happen even without using MagiCall. I cannot confirm it since I don't have CDMA devices.  Lips Sealed

I have a CDMA device and I only see this problem while using Magicall. Is there any additional testing I can do to try and resolve this problem?

yeah... same thing here... it only happens with magicall installed and then always and only right after a blocked call.  Again... though not every time after a blocked call but definitely preceded by a blocked call.

I've noticed on my phone it's always the same number that triggers the problem.  I have about 9 different numbers I block, and everything works fine and smooth until that one number comes thru.  Coincidence? Who knows.  Smiley

Would it maybe be possible to have the app issue a command to restore/restart/reset data connection after blocking a call?  Maybe an optional setting for us CDMA users.

I had used a free app that would block calls, but it was written using managed code so the response was slower, would hear half of a ring, etc.  But never had an issue with losing data connections.

I just made some adjustments in the attached beta. Could anyone help me test if the internet lost problem is fixed in this beta? Thanks.

It seems like with Pickup and Drop, the internet connection is fine. It is only with Hangup that the connection gets stuck.

Thank you for the information. I will check it again and try to find a solution if possible.

With more testing it seems like pickup and drop is working better and does not cause the data connection to be dropped. However, Restricted and Unknown callers seem to get through even though they are on the block list.

When the action is hangup it seems to tie up the data connection on the first call. If not the first, then usually around the third so, but it varies.
