Hello Mobiion -

I am desperately asking for your assistance in my configuring MagiCall… I am running a HTC Mogul with wm6.1 installed… I can set up a rule to 'Ignore' a call and return a SMS message… But, each time I receive a call from the 'caller' the 'Ignore' part of the rule works but I get an error message that the SMS could not send!

MobiCall v2.0.0.173

My Filter tab set up is:
Rule Name: First Last Name
Rule Type: Incoming Call
Filter Type: Specific Number
Phone #: 3058018850 Last, First Name (the last, first name is automatically added to the phone number line when selected from contact list)

My Operation tab set up is:
Action 1: Ignore
Action 2: Send SMS
To: 3058018850
Message: blah blah blah

I have just 'registered' MagiCall tonight because mostly I have been searching for just the right program and have read so many good reviews of this program and feel I must be missing something very basic in setting it up. I am seasoned at following installation documentation but just cannot seem to get this right…

I am desperate, please help…

Hello RMH,

I've replied an email to you for your problem. I just copy my email in this thread to help others who have the same problem.

When MagiCall is ignoring a call, the call is connected until the caller hangs it up. I think that when a call is connected, SMS messages will fail to be sent.
You may try this Action1 “Hang up” which will not affect sending SMS I think. But if you think “Ignore” is the only option for you, you may add a registry entry to your device, which will extend the period for trying sending SMS by MagiCall.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MagiCall]
“SendSmsRetryTimes”=180

“SendSmsRetryTimes” by default is 60 which means 1 minute. I think 180 is long enough for you.
