Just like everyone on the forum (I think ), I was exited to see the 2.0 beta available. I was even more exited that (from what I read in the added features) you have been able to include my request on the change number to allow call back. So, downloaded straight away and started testing. First of all, I thing it would be very useful to create a short manual on what all the new features do (what is the difference between 'Bypass' and 'Pass to next rule'? What does the 'Appointment' tab do? Is 'Reject' the same as the earlier 'Ignore'? Etc.). Then, what happended to the SMS filter on delivery reports? I thought this was a great filter, but I cant seem to find it anymore. In the 'Options', I can select the email account to use for sending mail, but my Outlook account that I have is not available. This is what I have so far. Anything else pops up, I will let you know. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for your feedback. Some items name and description are changed in v2.0, which I think would be easier to understand for most users. I will soon write a short manual about these changes, and simple guide about using new features.
Some changed items include: "Bypass" vs "Normal" "Pass to next rule" vs "Pass on" "Reject" vs "Hang up" "Mute" vs "Ignore"
Filter type changes include: "Outlook Contacts" vs "In Contacts" "Unknown Caller" vs "Not in Contacts" "Anonymous" vs "No Number" or "Delivery Report"
I just ignored the ActiveSync account from email stores. I think ActiveSync only sends emails when the device is connected to a PC and when synchronizing. So that account cannot send emails immediately when a rule is triggered. If I am wrong, let me know.

Hi, Thanks for the short overview, looks like I am not like most users.. As for your question on the outlook: I use HTC TyTN II (and before Dopod 383pro) and for both, you can set that mails are being sent immediately from the device, so it will actually trigger the synchronising. I tried the "Anonymous" for the delivery report, but it is not being filtered. Maybe because my operator sends it with 'System Administrator" as sender. I did try to filter these reports by using "Sender name", but that also didn't work. If I am doing something wrong, please let me know. Besides the fact that I am really curious about the 'Appointment' tab, I also dont see how I can enter a folder name when I use the 'Move' option. Hope this helps.

Maybe I was wrong. I am not a native English speaker so that I am not sure if changing those strings are correct.
OK. It's no problem. I will remove the email account restriction. It looks like a bug for filtering SMS delivery report, I will fix it soon.
If you want a rule to be able to be triggered ONLY when specified appointments are happening, use the rule's 'Appointment' tab to specify the criteria. For example, if you want to reject unknown callers when there is a meeting happening in Pocket Outlook, add a rule to filter unknown callers, and then go to the rule's Appointment tab, and set the 'Busy Status' to 'Busy'. This rule will only be triggered when there is a appointment in busy status and when an unknown caller is calling in. In addition, you may add more limitations, for example, you can specify the appointment's subject, so that only when there is a appointment which is in busy status and which has the specified subject, the rule is able to be triggered.
To move incoming SMS to specified folder, just input something to the "To Folder:" field. You can also use contexual parameters in this field. Use '\' to separate sub-folders. Example:
To folder: {phone}\{date}
Hope my answer can help you.

Not all SMS have phone number, you may try using the "Sender Name" option to see if it works. You may also add one rule like the below one which captures all incoming SMS and writes down their sender name and phone number to logs. After you receive an SMS, go to check what is logged by MagiCall. Rule type: SMS Filter type: All Action1: Bypass Action2: Do nothing Notice type: Log Events

Hi,
I think there may also be a bug in the 'change number' for outgoing calls. This used to work fine on the older version, but now first my phone (TyTN II) comes with a notification that the call can not be set up, then starts dialing anyway and when a connection is made, a nice lady on a recording says I dialed a wrong number.
I double checked by reinstalling the older version and it again worked fine.

I changed much on "Change Number" to support changing number to this format *123*xxxxxxx#. It looks not very stable on vary environemnts although it runs well on my WM6 device. I will try to find a solution for this issue. If it is not able to be fixed, I will revise it to use the older codes.

I am going to write a small debugging tool to address the issue. Would you like to help me run it on your device?
