Hi, I just installed the trial version MagiKB 1.1 on my Treo 700wx with Windows 5.  Even after several restarts it will still not work.  I have installed HookMgr and explored the MagiKb help menu and the control panel.  Have I missed something?

Thanks in advance!!
  Huh?

Are you using any input method rather than the default "Keyboard"?
You can see a small white keyboard icon on the middle of menu bar if the input method is "Keyboard".

Yes, I am using the Keyboard input method - I see the icon you mention at the bottom of the screen.

Is there any other "hook" program running on your device? This is the only possible thing I think.
Can you tell me what programs are installed on your device, especially those ones starting automatically with the system?

Apart from the programs that came with the Treo 700wx (Word, Explorer, Excel etc)  I have only downloaded a few themes.
for example:  http://www.pocketthemes.com/download_popup.php?url=http://www.pocketthemes.com/tempthemes/cepheus1/PT-A%20Nature%20Theme%20005.tsk

I don't think they would interfere with MagiKB.....but, I rely on your expertise.

Thanks for continuing to work through this with me.  I really could make good use of this program.

Sorry, I am afraid that I am out of idea.  Sad

But can you confirm the following two things:

1. After installing MagiKB, have you selected a key-mapping file. By default, no key-mapping is selected after the installation. You should select or modify a key-mapping file.

2. Is there a file named "MGKBLS.lnk" under folder "\Windows\Startup". If not so, open the options window of MagiKB, and select the autostart option.

THANK YOU!! That did it!!
The "MGKBLS.lnk" under folder "\Windows\Startup" was not there.  I added it and now your program is working on my Treo.

I appreciate your patience!

I downloaded the trial on my 700wx.  Its not working.  I have the link in the startup.  I previously had the 1.0 trial and it used to work.   Since then i have the following software that may be a culprit
Spb Pocketplus 4.0, vtap, MS live search, phm registry editor, sprint 1.15 update.

Hi maddogv6, did you select a key-mapping file after the installation? Version 1.1 supports many devices, but it needs a key-mapping file to be selected after being installed.

I should mention that the 750v mapping file also works for the Palm Treo 800w (and I guess also for the Treo Pro).
First I couldn't get MagiKB lite to work on my Treo 800w until I load this file from the menu.
