Hi! My name is Jose Aldana from Guadalajara, Mexico and here's my question...

I've got a calling plan tha allows me to call 10 mobile numbers for free for up to 5 minutes, afterwards the mobile company charges me the normal per minute fee... But I can hang up before the 5 minutes and dial back again and there's no additional cost...

How can I make Magicall to hang up my phone call for this 10 numbers at the minute 4:50 of my call? Is there any way to achieve this?

I've been searching everywhere and symbian's got  solution named "Auto Hang Up" but I haven't found something for WM5... Is it possible to do this with Magicall? Probably using magicall and a 3rd party application?

Any idea?

I'll be waitting for your comments...

Cheers!

Hi Jose,

MagiCall cannot do it for you. I will add this feature to my development schedule. It will appear in a future version.

Thanks a lot! I hope you can add this function soon.

I tried to find a solution by myself using your application and a very simple flash lite application I programed but it didn't work. I tested before I was on a call and everything worked. What the app does is that as soon as I dial 1 of my 10 free phone numbers magicall opens a flash lite app that count down from 4:30 to 0 and then it rings and vibrates. When I'm not on a call it rings and ibrate but during a call it doesnt... Do you know if there's a way (by modifying the registry or something) to allow flash lite sounds during a call?

Thanks a lot!

No, it is impossible. It is a limitation of Windows Mobile.
Here is a suggestion, you can let your program hang up the call when it exceeds 4:30 by sending an APP4 keystroke.

Apparentrly there's a limitation in flash lite apps that doesn't alow (for security reasons) to send keystrokes. What I did is the following:

After the 4:30 minutes i call an app (from fscommand) that shuts down the phone service (flight mode) and then it opens the comm manager so I can restart the phone service and then it shuts down automatically the flash lite app... It's working but I dont think is the best way to do it... What I would like to do is to find a process or any program in /windows folder (or somewhere else) that hangs up the phone. Do you know if there's some program/process that does this? Or at least a program that automatically restart the phone service without needing to go to comm manager?

Thanks!

Hi mediamas,

I've just built a little program to hang up calls by simulating a hang up keystroke.
You may use it if you like.

* Hangup.zip (1.49 KB - downloaded 149 times.)
